As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Q2 (Financial Technology company) I was recognized out of several thousand people to be the MVP of the year. This award recognized my role in building a key product which automated software updates for backend, frontend and database upgrades to over 400 customers.
My automation, process and integration across teams led to over 5,000 production change controls in a year at a company which moved 2 trillion in transactions each year through credit unions and banks.

Who am I?
In 2024, I became a certified yoga teacher in Koh Samui, Thailand, and reignited my passion for engineering by helping my yoga studio automate and streamline operations.
I now build tools that support wellness businesses grow with ease and intention.

My Story
In 2023, I decided to search my heart for what matters most to me. I wrote poetry and self published poetry books, collected and sold vinyl records going on a record collecting trip to Chicago from Austin and back.
I also began doing yoga every day and taking my health and self care more seriously to grow my body/mind/soul. My love for yoga brought me to the beautiful island of Koh Samui in Thailand where I became a certified yoga teacher in my 200 hour yoga teacher training.
I began to find ways to help my yoga studio by automating the hot saunas to turn on and off at intervals and got the itch to get back into coding again and use my engineering skills. The yoga studio owner let me know he had a manual task of having to input data of customers from one system to another. This was where I found the need for a better solution which led to the beginning of my first product.
I believe the ancient practice of yoga is the most powerful modality that the world needs to heal, to grow and to allow us the inner peace to go about lives in our most aligned selves. I am committed to living the heartfelt life and helping yogis and yoga studios grow to help spread this vision.

Why don't I just use AI instead of BijanTech
It is true that AI has become ubiquitous and flattened the playing field technologically for companies and entrepreneurs of all sorts, it is false to think that AI alone can turn a novice into a professional Software Engineer. I have written maintainable code, read the books on best software engineering practices and understand the principles that lead to the type of results that cannot yet be imitated by Artificial Intelligence.
Can you assist with cloud migration and management?
I don't typically work in large scale migration projects as it requires a large amount of time and energy investment but I have been involved with many software migration projects in my career and would be happy to consult with you to see if we could be a good match.
